"I have a 1977 Jeep CJ5, with a 304, 4-speed. I am
doing a full, frame-up resto. I was looking at aftermarket bodies, and was
wondering how much better kevlar bodies are than fiberglass. There seems to be about
$5,000 difference between the two. Is it worth it?"
Do you want it bulletproof or just rust proof? You could easily buy another
Jeep for the difference in cost. I'd suggest talking with each manufacturer
directly before making any decision, but I'd be hard pressed to justify the
$5K difference for a Jeep body.

"I have a 1993 Jeep YJ, with a 4.0 / 5 speed. Are
you aware of an after market kit that would convert the rectangular
headlight grill and mounting to round headlights?"
Sorry, short of buying a CJ or TJ, I'm not aware of any kit to perform the
swap. However, if you're willing to take some time to take some
measurements, I'm willing to bet you could fit a late CJ grille to your YJ
without too much grief.

"I have a 1980 CJ-7, with a AMC 360, T-18. I have a
1985 CJ-7 with a good body and was going to swap bodies. I was wondering if
there was any correct way to go about it. Like if there are certain things to take off
in a certain order, or just mark everything and strip it."
I think you've got the right idea, mark it and yank it. Start with the hood,
then fenders, grill, windshield frame, then tub. Have fun.

"I have a 1973 CJ5, with a 350/manual. I'm
searching for a hard top and have yet to see one. Do
the hard doors have glass or plastic windows, and how do they roll down
or slide open? It seems that there is no room for a glass window to roll
down."
Take a look at Top-Flite. www.topflitehardtops.com
They have a hardtop for CJ5's with sliding glass windows.
