Powertank

Every so often we are fortunate enough to test a product which meets all of its claims (and our expectations). We are happy to say the CO2-filled Powertank is one such product.

The leading air compressor, which is quicker than most, aired up our 33x9.50 Kelly-Springfield Safari MSR's from 10 to 30PSI in 2 minutes and 43 seconds; the Powertank filled the same tire in only 36 seconds flat! It also filled a 31x10.50 BFG Mud Terrain in just 23 seconds (9 to 30PSI).

Add to that the ability to run air tools on the trail, and you instantly have an essential piece of off-road equipment. We've already tested it with an air ratchet and impact wrench and it worked great.

Filling and refilling the Powertank is as easy as taking it down to your local fire extinguisher service center. Average cost of about $9. Get a second Powertank and be sure that you have plenty of of CO2 on the trail!
